DreamHost web hosting well established and very popular, so converting sales isn't a problem. If you can drive traffic, you will make money. If you are already a customer with DreamHost then you will already have access to their affiliate program, or what they call their rewards program. If not, you can sign up for the DreamHost affiliate program directly on their website.
DreamHost has two levels of commission, $97 per referral or 10% of the referral for the lifetime of the customer. You will also earn $5 per referral made by the initial person you referred. If you choose the 10% commission for the referral then the commission earned from your referrals referral will be 5%.
It is much better to choose the initial $97 payment option for commissions.
Like other affiliate programs, DreamHost lets you offer coupon codes for discounts on services. If a user uses your coupon code then you will get credit for the commission. The commission earned when using a coupon will be taken off your earnings, so be careful when creating really cheap coupons. So to calculate your commission, it will be $97 minus the discount on your coupon. If you create a $50 discount coupon, your commission will be $97 - $50 = $47 commission. You will find many DreamHost coupon codes for $97, but that person won't make any commission. So you have to create a coupon to fit your website traffic.
Never send a customer through your normal referral link, always use a coupon code.

There is a major benefit in using the direct coupon link. Once your customer clicks on the link the coupon code cannot be changed. If they change it then you will lose commission.
